Abstrak

This study aims to determine the role of commitment and organizational governance in mediating the effect of Leadership on Performance. The research type is quantitative; the sample consists of 120 respondents based on justification criteria and a sub-population of respondents, namely actors in procuring government goods and services. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale of 5 strongly disagree to agree strongly. They were analysed using the PLS-SEM structural equation model. Of the 21 indicators of the Measurement Model Validity test results (Outer Model), 18 are above the standard. Still, three indicators need to meet the requirements, so they must be eliminated and cannot be further analysed. Four of the six hypotheses proposed are significant, while two are not. This study expands the understanding of the effect of Leadership on Performance by exploring the role of mediation, which previous researchers have yet to examine widely. This study also offers a new perspective on the implementation of good governance and organisational commitment as important mediating variables that can influence the effectiveness of leadership in improving the performance of the Ende Regency government. The results are expected to provide practical recommendations for stakeholders in the public sector.
